Welcome to the February 2022 issue of the Fibre Optic Industry Association Newsletter.

AGM – 1st December 2021

The Annual General Meeting on 1^st December 2021, was the first face-to-face meeting since 4^th February 2020, held at The Manor House in Buntingford.

We said a fond farewell to Frank Kler (FIA Council member) at the AGM.  Frank has been involved with the FIA for a number of years, being particularly involved with the Accredited Installer Scheme, and with new developments in fibre applications, such as FTTX. Frank resigned his Council seat, but has been awarded an Honorary Personal Membership, so he can still keep an eye on all things FIA.

FIA Summer Seminar – Thursday 16th & Friday 17th June 2022

We are returning to our usual Summer event this year and as usual, the event will be held at Whittlebury Hall, Nr. Towcester, Northants.

The listing below details the Sponsorship packages available for the event.

If you are interested you can reserve a particular Sponsorship package or a Table-top now. We shall then invoice you on 1^st March.

Additionally if you would like to provide a presentation,  or if there is a particular topic you would like to have covered, please advise the Secretary.

Summer Seminar Packages

Main event Sponsorship £2,000 + VAT. Benefits to include:

• Banner at the front of the Seminar Room on both days
• Logo on slides
• Exhibition Table-top in main Seminar room (half-day on 16th and half-day on 17th June)
• Company logo on event web page
• 5 minute slot at Seminar on Day 1 to introduce the company and provide details of the exhibits
• 2 foc delegate Seminar & Dinner places
• Follow up Sponsors message (100 words) in the next Newsletter after the event

Dinner Sponsor £1,500 + VAT. Benefits to include:

• Banner and /or Pop Up in the Dining Room on the evening of the Dinner
• Gift on table for Delegates (provided by Sponsor)
• Exhibition Table-top in main Seminar room (half-day on 16th and half-day on 17th June)
• Company logo on event web page
• 5 minute slot at Seminar on Day 1 to introduce the company and provide details of the exhibits

Bar Sponsorship £1,000 + VAT. Benefits to include:

Exhibitor Table-top Sponsor £575 + VAT for members & £800 + VAT for Non-members.  Benefits to include:

• 5 minute slot during Seminar programme to introduce the company and provide details of the exhibits

Note:  Delegate places are not included in the table-top sponsorship fees and must be additionally booked

FIA NEW Logo

The FIA logo and brand colours were nearly 30 years old and were appearing dated, so we decided it was time for a refresh. Hive Creative gave us several options and we finally agreed on the logo you see above and the colour palette seen here.

The new look was launched at the recent FIA Autumn Seminar.

We’ll soon add downloadable copies of versions of the logo to the FIA website but if you need a logo immediately, contact jane@fiasec.co.uk.
