City and Guilds 3668 – Setting the new standard for Technical Qualifications in the Fibre Optic industry – Chris Atkin, FIA TQC
We are delighted to announce that following many months of hard work, City and Guilds have published the updated and revised set of level 2 qualifications. Furthermore, after widespread industry consultation, City and Guilds have also launched a comprehensive suite of level 3 qualifications.
In launching these qualifications, great care has been taken to ensure that there is a series of progression routes and crucially, that the qualifications can form all or part of a modern-day apprenticeship programme. In addition, the 3668 level 3 qualifications, have been recognised by ECS. The City and Guilds 3668 level 2 and level 3 programme is an opportunity for those to develop their knowledge and skills in both fibre optics, and in the data cabling sectors. I am personally very proud to be part of the team who helped to develop the new City and Guilds 3668 qualifications and is my belief that this will increase the skillset our economy needs.
City & Guilds is a global leader in skills development, providing services to training providers, employers, and trainees across a variety of sectors to meet the needs of today’s workplace.
